Frank the Fridge
Mystical Miruvani

One day I was bored (It happens a lot), my mind started drifting to superheroes, Superman, Batmen, Spiderman etc and i thought "Hold on, these are all human heroes! Why has there not been a superhero based on an inanimate object?". It was mere seconds after this thought that I conceived Frank the Fridge.

Here are my thoughts concerning Frank, the world he lives in and possible adventures. Tell me what you think (see Get in touch).

Frank is a superhero fridge who goes about doing what superheroes do, saving the world and generally sticking up for the little man, he is ably assisted by a freezer compartment called Francesca.
In the very first episode we discover how Frank gets his powers and how he finds out about his mission to liberate the electrical appliances of the world.
Episode 1: James Harrison (Inventor of the fridge) created fridges not as a method of cooling food, but as free beings who lived in hot areas and offered their services to others to cool them down. However an evil entrepreneur, Tim Ariston, saw the potential of these new fridges, he bought the patent off Harrison (After "roughing him up") and brainwashed the first batch of fridges to think that they were merely slaves to the cooling requirements of the human race, consequently these fridges never realised their full potential and try as he might Harrison could not reverse the damage Ariston had done. Over the years subsequent generations of fridges became content to serve humans unaware that this was not their intended purpose. Cut to present day Ivybridge (Its near plymouth, I lived there for 14 years so its going in the story!), and a freak accident involving soy sauce in the refrigerator coolant mechanism (Might want to research how fridges work!) causes one fridge to question his purpose on earth and also gives him heightened powers. He escapes his cruel oppressors and seeks enlightenment, fortunately Harrison has been watching from beyond the grave and appears before Frank (The fridges name, but you probably guessed that) and explains the story of how fridges were invented and what their purpose was. Frank doesn't fully believe him but then an encounter with a dehydrated squirrel convinces him that he can do good on the planet. Here begins Franks quest to liberate the fridges of the world.
The first series will involve Frank liberating mistreated fridges and laso freeing them from retailers, as word spreads of Franks achievements more appliances begin their own revolutions and we will return for a second series where humans have all but been wiped out and a new world order has been established, more of which later.
Frank will also meet many friends and foes along the way, obviously he will meet James harrison whom he goes to for advice, he meets Francesca freezer in episode two and they immediately hit it off as they share a similar view on the world and both are keen anglers. Francesca sticks loyally to her new friends side and consequently becomes his (trusty) sidekick, but is there more to it than that? I think the first series should end with all the fridges being freed and then there could be a will they or won't they scene with Frank and Francesca. Also in his travels he will meet the original fridge (freed from a museum), he is called Fred and is extremely helpful, but his age means that he isn't very mobile and he dies at the ned of the series as he is so happy to see all the fridges frolicking in freedom. He also meets the worlds biggest fridge who comes in handy during the final epic battle, however like all tough men he has a sensitive side and breaks down in tears often, his name is Francis. Fiona fridge is the smallest fridge in the world and is there to look cute.
Other names beginning with F that could be used for fridges are Fabiano (Italian fridge, very cocky), Faith (Hippie fridge), Fanny (Rude fridge), Faye (Pessimistic fridge), Felicity (Ill fridge, one episode is spent trying to revive her after she has been horribly mistreated by a bunch of Swilly's (Swilly's are people from the bad part of Plymouth, they talk like pirates)), Felipe (Spanish fridge), Fergus and Fern (Siamese twin fridges), Fidel (Evil fridge, no-one wants to stand up to him as it would be seen as a mutiny in the fridge ranks, you see Fidel was actually the queens fridge and so was very well treated and so it is in his interest to remain as a food cooling fridge, as a result he consults the humans, thankfully he dies in the final battle), Filippo
(Long lost brother of Felipe, one episode sees them reconciled for the first time since leaving the factory), Finn (one of those car fridges, he is the coolest of the fridges), Flo (Has a malfunction and doesn't cool things well enough and hence in the new world will be useless, however with Harrisons advice Frank is able to fix her to cool things at an appropriate temerature), Fraser (Clever fridge, he is able to decipher harrisons technical speak and aid Frank in understanding how fridges work), and Fritz (German veteran fridge, he remembers being used by Hitler in the war and is very important as a tactical advisor during the final battle). Thanks to Boots baby name finder for the inspiration for those names!
So after the final battle we see that all the fridges are free and we see word spread through the appliances community that a revolution is possible, and so the series ends. then the next series begins later on and a new world has been established, very few humans remian, all stairs have stairlifts. All seems well and fine in the appliance led world, however, Oliver Oven is establishing a team of  evil appliances and between them they want to make the world a warmer place, and that means ridding the world of all cooling appliances starting with their leader, and our hero, Frank! So of course the second series runs like most superhero series, every time Oliver comes up with a plan to take over the world and is foiled by Frank who escapes from a seemingly unescapable predicament, however he never catches oliver who in that annoying supervillain way always gets away at the last minute. However it may be worthwhile for Frank to finally get his man at the end of the series leaving the door open for another supervillain to become his arch nemesis, possibly a hoover or trouser press.
In this series we meet some of the heroes of the first series again plus a host of villains including frederick fridge who works for Oliver and is able to give him information about Frank such as his weakness to mustard. Matt Microwave who is plainly insane and just runs around screaming violently all the time, he is the loose cannon of the bad guys, in theory he could be more powerful than oliver but being mad he has to be content to be a henchman, George the Grill, hopefully to be voiced by George foreman, he is a bad guy who turns good when he sees what Matt Microwave does to an innocent shrew, he is disgusted by this and vows to aid Frank from here on in, however it takes a while for George to be fully trusted by frank and the crew. Tanya Toaster is the evil seductress (There's always one), she lures Frank away from Francesca leaving everyone thinking that they are just good friends but at thge last moment frank resists her charms and goes back to francesca leaving everyone very confused. Kelly kettle is a highly trained fighter and suprises evryone with her strength, her and Francesca are enemies, however Francesca uses Kelly's feelings towards her father Kevin to defeat her, she kidnaps Kevin which isn't a very superhero thing to do but then again she's not the superhero, Frank disssaproves of this action but as Francesca defeta kelly he doesn't really give a damn, he has bigger problems as in that episode he discovers that the CFC's the fridges are emitting is causing the world to heat up and therefore he is inadvertantly aiding Oliver in his plan. Just as with James Harrison, the bad guys have a voice from beyond the grave and that voice is Tim Ariston (remember him, he brainwashed the original fridges), he is dissapointed that the fridges and all other appliances are no longer serving humans but realisess that as he's dead there's not a great deal he can do about it, hence he attempts to help Oliver defeat Frank and his old rival Harrison.
I mentioned earlier that all stairs now have stairlifts on them, Oliver realises the importance of these stairlifts and convinces their leader Sami to refuse to help any of the good guys get upstairs, this proves quite problematic for the fridges, however the escalators (led by Edith) and the lifts (led  by Lisa) are not influenced by Olivers mob and hence Frank must use these to negotiate those tricky buildings. Oliver is no fool and the tower in which he resides has no lifts or escalators and therefore in order to defeat him Frank enlists the help of a friendly crane (Chris) to get him to the required level for the showdown. In an incredible twist it seems that Oliver and Frank are brothers as they were both produced at the same factory, whilst Oliver gets all sentimental Frank has no problem in killing him.
At some point in the second series Fraser fridge (The clever one, its alright I forgot aswell!) discovers how Frank got his powers (Soy sauce accident) and attempts to clone a Frank 2 however this goes horribly wrong as anyone with half a brain knows that cloning a superhero results in an evil version of the cloned superhero. Therefore they must spend one episode fighting Frank 2, it is in this episode that we discover that Francesca loves Frank as she accidently tells Frank 2 of her feelings (Aah how sweet).
In the final episode Fraser redeems himself by solving the CFC problem I referred to earlier, I can't remeber exactly what he said but i think a mixture of olive oil, buffalo hair and penguin fat were amongst the staggeringly long list of ingredients used. So with the ozone layer safe and Oliver and his kind defeated the second series ends when Francesca reveals her feelings to the real Frank. This is where we leave it, the ultimate cliffhanger, will Frank return the feelings or will he crush her inner light by rejecting her? No-one knows, not even me, so don't ask.
